Great Personalities Interacted With

Guru or Teacher is not any special person, but any person or from whom, you can learn (either by instruction, example or observation).

Easy approach is, reading notes prepared for taking exams (konar notes in Tamilnadu). It is an efficient way to get marks. But not for understanding the subject. Many go to a guru and try to accept, what he/she says. It is shortcut.

Other approach is to take your notes from different sources. You must try to find answers for your question/problems. Every one is unique. So, you need not follow anyone blindly. Find your own path.

There is no single, widely-agreed definition of spirituality. Spirituality can be a sense of connection to something bigger than ourselves, which can answer all our questions. Spirituality is a journey with no destination. Everyone has to travel in their unique path. We can only share our experiences. There are no one like spiritual leaders. Just look for wisdom from every where, from ordinary folks—people just like you and me.

You are your own master, you make your own future.[Dhammapada - 380]
None can teach you. None can make you spiritual. There is no other teacher but your own soul. ~ Swami Vivekananda.

Paramacharya

Paramacharya is a very pleasant serene simple compassionate great personality. He has an impressive memory and a walking encyclopaedia or library with deep understanding of Hindu/Indian culture and traditions. Quite impressed with his knowledge in metaphysics and mathematics (logics). Attractive personality and can give you peace. Active supporter of Shanmadha and Unity of Saivites and Vaishnavites.

Paramacharya was highly respected by world leaders and great personalities. On the day of Sankara Jayanthi in the year 1915, Swamigal took over the administration of the mutt on the completion of his 21st year. He attained samadhi on January 8, 1994 and was succeeded by H.H.Sri Jayendra Saraswati. I was lucky to have met him few times during young age, when he visits Trichy and Thiruvanai koil. It is divine experience to walk with him, around Trichy.

Sankara sastrigal

Sankara sastrigal (Paramacharya's teacher's nephew) from Thottiyam, whose eyes were damaged. He used to stay in Tiruvanai kovil and I have spent time with him, during my visits. His classmate Ramakrisna sastrigal is from Mahadanapuram.

Tiruchi Swamigal (1929-2005)

The ancestral lineage can be traced back to the rulers of the great Vijayanagar Empire. From Vikramasingapuram, influenced by Bhairavi Swami and a Muslim Baba, who were attracted by the sweet manners of the boy, taught him some occult practices. In his teens, he visited Ceylon and stayed at Kandy. Returning to India, he did return home. He stayed for a considerable time at the Tayumanavar Hills in Tiruchi and hence the name ‘Tiruchi Swamy’. Again in Nepal at the bidding of Guhyambika (another form of Parashakthi) in her temple, he met the most noble ‘Shivapuri Baba’ living nearby. He visited Kailas, and returned to Kenchenahally (presently Sri Rajarajeshwarinagar). Swamiji decided to stay in the cottage and pursue his life’s mission.
