Foreword

The original spirit of the Internet (browsers) was to give information as well as take it. It was a system built with the primary intention of collaboration, communication and accessibility (not profits and exclusivity). Not designed for serious transactions.

I have always been interested in indian history, epics, philosophy and spirituality. This created interest to visit many places and read a lot of different books on these subjects. This web site is to share my information collected from many places and people.

Background Info

We all were taught by our family, religion, and community/society do’s and don’ts. There was some reasoning behind each one of them and all were passed on to us after many generations in form of saying/writing. But many get misinterpreted or exaggerated or twisted or not applicable now.

In matters of religion and history, reality differed seriously from what we have been taught/told and lectured. Many leaders and scriptures can not be questioned. They feel it is perfect and no more changes allowed. But, the human mind is not like the human egg, which has a shut-off device. When one sperm gets in, it shuts down so the next one can't get in.

Until 14 years old, for me, stories, slokas and our beliefs were beyond doubt or questioning. They were my only source of my knowledge. I believed that snakes are like Gods and we have to give milk to them as part of worship. My friend showed me Encyclopedia to prove snakes can not digest milk. It is a myth. So, my source of knowledge is not perfect. I should check whether information obtained from religious people is true or not.

People consider learned, musicians, magicians, good administrators and spiritual business men as Gods/Godman, with super natural powers. As in Bajagovindam, many godmen just pretend to be Gods to earn livelihood.

There are many who go with matted locks, many who have clean shaven heads, many whose hairs have been plucked out; some are clothed in orange, yet others in various colors --- all just for a livelihood.]

we are all ruled by Dhamma, powerful divine law or law of nature. Guru/Teacher can show you reference material, explain some terms or some belief theories. You have to find your own enlightenment.

It's a great way to explore Indian political and religious history. Started visiting heritage destinations - caves, temples, towers, palaces, pillars, ruined forts, tombs, excavations and other beautiful monuments scattered all over the country and enjoy the art, archaeology, architecture, culture and so on.

Concluding Remarks

Hinduism is a huge library with scriptures on all possible topics. Hinduism is a great ocean and what any one can understand may not even be a drop. Life is about learning and we are all trying to understand some basics.

Race, Language and Culture are not static. No race is pure and changes with migration. Meaning of words get modified over time. All languages borrow words from other languages. Some cultures over a period becomes wrong, some becomes right, then it again goes wrong. The whole process is a cycle. Accept to learn changes in change of times.

We should use our knowledge, logic and reasoning to accept right things and to reject or correct wrong ones. Be different. Be yourself. The only way to get to know this real self is through research and contemplation
